Puducherry, Mar 9: The CPI here today urged the administration to remove Health Minister E Valsaraj, against whom the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption police have registered a case, from his post.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at an office-bearers meeting of the party here.
Another resolution urged the administration to suspend all officials against whom corruption cases were pending, including PWD Chief Engineer C Anandane who was removed from the post and kept under compulsory waiting.
Yet another resolution urged the administration to abolish entrance examinations for admission to professional courses here on the lines of Tamil Nadu.
It was also decided to meet AICC President Sonia Gandhi at New Delhi on March 12 or 13 to exert pressure on her for setting up of a co-ordination committee of the alliance parties here.
