Srinagar, Mar 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned ex-gratia relief for the next of kin of six people who were killed in militancy-related incidents in the central Kashmir district of Badgam.
An official spokesman today said a meeting of District level screening committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Badgam, Khawaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu to discuss militancy-related cases.
He said during the meeting, which was also attended by the representatives of different security agencies, the committee sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs 10.97 lakh in favour of those families affected in militancy.
He said Rs six lakh were sanctioned in favour of the next of kin of six people, who lost their lives in different incidents.
Similarly, Rs 4.97 lacs were sanctioned in favour of 11 property damaged cases.
