The technology, a first of its kind wireless home networking, brings together music, movies, entertainment across a single platform.

''In our partnership with Microsoft, we are now offering this technology which works on wireless routers, access points with Microsoft software such as Windows Vista and X Box. The technology will help create homes where everyone is connected across various interfaces used in any home from gaming devices, LCD TV, computers, laptops, musical instruments as well as Internet-enabled information and communication services,'' RRL Head-Operations (CDIT) Nitish Tipnis told UNI.

We are not just showcasing the technology , but it is available for sale at this store. A wireless router just costs about Rs 2,500, Mr Tipnis added. The store, covering an area of more than 42,000 square feet, also offers products ranging from consumer electronics, home appliances, information technology and telecommunications in 150 brands.

''We will come up with 150 such outlets across the country by 2011 in top 50 cities,'' President and Chief Executive (Consumer Durable, IT and Telecom) Ajay Bajlal said. We are targeting a sale of 50-60 crores and a market share of 10-15 per cent, he added.

Reliance Industries had last year announced an investment of Rs 25,000 crore for the retail business and about 10-15 per cent of this will be contributed through retailing of consumer durables at its Reliance Digital stores and hypermarkets.
