Police open fire on dacoit gang in H'bad

Hyderabad, Mar 9: Police opened fire on a dacoit gang which tried to rob a house at Medipalli, under Uppal Police Station Limits in the city in the wee hours today.

Police said the gang gained entry into the house and tied up houseowner Venkat Reddy and beat him.

They searched for money and valuables. However, they could not find anything.

When the same gang tried to unlock the door of another house, the inmates alerted the police, who immeidately rushed to the place and opened fire.

The gang-members fled the scene. Special teams have been formed to nab the gang-members.
