J-K police arrest a top Hizbul militant
Srinagar, Mar 9 : The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested a top Hizbul Mujahideen militant from a village in Kupwara district.
The Hizbul militant Mushtaq Ahmad Malla was arrested from Maratgam village of the district.
According to an official spokesman, Mushtaq was arrested early this morning.
The police recovered an AK-47 rifle, three magazines, 81 live rounds, three hand grenades, a pouch, three detonators and some incriminatory material from his possession.
"The most fugitive militant was in connection with a number of killings and subversive activities in Handwara and adjacent areas," the spokesman said.
