''New high-tech cameras would help in maintaining strict vigil over the criminals and anti-social elements strolling at the Taj premises,'' Mr Singh said.
Main domb near river Yammuna and other areas of the historical monument, which earlier escaped the camera sight would now be under the digital eye, he said. Earlier, only four entrances were equipped with the CCTV cameras, but now with 23 hidden cameras it would be possible to keep an eye over the entire premises.
So far, the CISF has nailed at least 21 criminals, including pick-pocketers, eve-teasers, thieves and snatchers at the monument. Recently, a question was raised in the UP Assembly about increasing criminal activities at the Taj Mahal.
