Haryana Governor stresses on speed limit while driving

Chandigarh, Mar 9 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai said today stressed upon driving with the prescribed speed limits.

The Governor was addressing a gathering after flagging off the 2nd SantaBanta.Com.Women's Car Rally and Vintage and Classic Car Rally at the Lake Club here.

He hoped that the rally would inculcate a sense of discipline and adventure among the women participants.

Congratulating the participants and organisers of the rally, the Governor said that such women car rallies were appropriate steps which certainly led to empowerment of women. He said that this Vintage and Classic Car Rally would give an opportunity to the people to see the oldest models of cars and subsequent improvements in the modern manufacturing of car technology.

Extending warm welcome to the Governor, the President of the Rally, Brig J S Phulka said that this rally had been organised to mark the International Women's Day.

He said that this Car Rally would go to Barog in Himachal Pradesh via Kalka and Dharampur and 47 cars of old models were included in this rally.

The rally would culminate at the Lake Club where a prize distribution function would be organised.
