Women commando to take on Maoist guerrillas
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 8 (UNI) Women commando, trained in Jungle Warfare, will soon be deployed for the first time to in naxal-infested Chhattisgarh to counter Maoist guerrillas.
Official sources said today that special commando training has been imparted to 129 women constables of state police at Kanker-based Jungle War College (JWC). Their training was completed recently and soon they would be posted to the naxal-affected region.
JWC Director Ponwar said the training imparted was similar to that of men.
