New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) In a prize catch, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths arrested three foreigners, including a woman, from Tilak Nagar area of west Delhi with two kilograms of heroin.
NCB Director General R K Verma told UNI that the arrests of two Nigerians and a Thai woman was made yesterday afternoon after a long trail.
''The heroin seized was of Afghan origin and of fine quality. It has a street price of Rs five crore in New York,'' he said The woman was the carrier and hailed from Bangkok, he said adding that she was to carry the contraband, procured from here, along with the Nigerians to Thailand.
''One of our officers, who was attacked by the Nigerians, when they were being arrested, received injuries during the operation,'' Mr Verma said.
The Nigerians often get violent in such a situation, said the DG adding that, ''We are still working on the 'source' of the contraband and investigations are continuing.'' UNI AN SK RAI1948
