TRS adopts resolution on wages of employees from Telangana
Hyderabad, Mar 8 (UNI) TRS President and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao today said the employees of Telangana region should be provided benefits on par with Central Government employees.
Talking to newspersons after the party state executive meeting here, following the resignation of party Legislators, Mr Rao said the party unanimously adopted the resolution on regularisation of more than one lakh contract employees, UGC scales to the state government lecturers and increase the salaries of teachers on par with Kendriya Vidyalayas.
Pointing out that the wages of employees, who were selected in the erstwhile Hyderabad state, was equal to the Central Government employees, he said their salaries were reduced after the Hyderabad state merged into the united Andhra Pradesh in 1950's.
Stating that about seven lakh employees, including three lakh contract workers, would benefit from the party's resolution, he said the party would implement the resolutions immediately after the formation of a separate Telangana state, he said.
Alleging that the present Congress government was harassing the Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs), Mr Rao said the government should treat them as doctors.
Mr Rao said the party would organise a public meeting on April 27 at Parade grounds here, on March 15 at Korutla in Karimnagar district and a 'maha garjana' in Mahaboobnagar on March 17.
'TRS Girijana Yatra' would be organised from March 24 to April 2 in Karimnagar and Mahaboobnagar districts.
The party also adopted a 'thanks giving' resolution lauding the party Legislators, who resigned from their posts in protest against the Centre's failure to grant statehood to Telangana.
