Gwalior can be gateway of MP: Jyotiraditya Scindia
Gwalior, Mar 8 (UNI) Tourism has great potential in India and with the help of this industry, Gwalior can become the gateway of Madhya Pradesh, Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia said here today.
Briefing mediapersons about the Gwalior-Shivpuri-Chanderi Tourism Circuit, Mr Scindia said the 8.5 crore project, which got the approval in 2005, was about to be completed within eight months.
The Gwalior and Shivpuri projects had been completed and the Chanderi one would be completed in the next eight months, he informed.
Mr Scindia felt that to attract tourists, hotel industry as well as the railway and airways should be exploited in the best possible way.
''The ongoing Gwalior Heritage Festival is a small step towards the conservation of the Indian heritage,'' he said.
''The heritage festival also holds importance in the wake of passing the rich Indian culture and heritage to the future generation,'' he added.
