Body of PG student brought to hometown from US

Karim Nagar, Mar 8 (UNI) The body of a postgraduate medical student, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his room in Pennsylvania in US on March 1, was today brought to his village Korutla in the district.

A Srinivas, pursuing MD in Internal Medicine, was found in a pool of blood with stab injuries on his neck.

Immediately after receiving the shocking news, the victim's father A Anjaiah left for the US to bring Srinivas's body to his native village.

When asked about the US police initial reports stating that Srinivas apparently committed suicide, Mr Anjaiah told newspersons that his son was not a timid fellow. He was a bold person who took the risk to pursue higher studies in America, he added.

The last rites would be performed this evening.

Srinivas went to the US in 2002 and joined Scranton State University in 2005. He had completed MBBS from Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad.
