Bhujbal demands 27% reservation quota for OBCs
Jaipur, Mar 8 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has demanded to raise reservation quota for other backward classes(OBCs) from present 21 to 27 per cent.
Addressing a congregation organised by Jyotirao Phule Samata Parishad here today Mr Bhujbal said the OBCs constituted 52 per cent of the total population in the country, hence, present quota of 21 per cent was insufficient.
He also stressed for benefits of reservation for OBCs in state assemblies and Lok Sabha.
Mr Bhujbal also urged the Centre to confer Bharat Ratna up on Jyotirao Phule.
Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Prabhu Lal Saini also spoke on the occasion.
