Bangalore, Mar 8: A four-day film festival of acclaimed Australian films will begin on March 14 in the city. In a release here yesterday, the Australian High Commission said the film festival was part of a package of contemporary Australian cinema called 'Embassy Roadshow' and was brought to India under the auspices of Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Film Commission.
The film festival would showcase varied facets of life in Australia, its history and Australian cinematic excellence. The films in the festival were critically acclaimed at leading international film festivals, it said. The festival would be opened with 'Jindabyne,' a murder mystery that revolves around four men on a fishing trip in an isolated hill country, it added.
