Hyderabad, Mar 7 (UNI) Irked by the 'objectionable remarks' made by Godman Satya Sai Baba on Telangana issue, activists of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi's (TRS) students wing TRS Vidyarthi (TRSV) today attacked Satya Sai temple at Shivam road in the city.
Police said about ten TRSV activists, waving placards, staged a dharna in front of the temple and damaged flower vases and some furniture while trying to barge into the temple premises.
Police forces, which were deployed at the temple, obstructed the activists from entering the premises and arrested them immediately.
Meanwhile, security was tightened at all Satya Sai temples in the city as well as in other parts of the Telangana region to prevent any untoward incident.
TRSV members were angered by Satya Sai Baba's reported statements that development would take place in united Andhra Pradesh only and bifurcation of the State would not solve the backwardness and regional disparities.
The TRS alleged that the Godman was making 'anti-Telangana' statements with the support of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
