Salem case to be heard on March 20
Bhopal, Mar 7 (UNI) A local court today set March 20 as the next date for hearing in a fake passports case wherein underworld don Abu Salem stands accused.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Shrivastav set the date as High Court records failed to reach today. Defence Counsel P C Bedi was present.
A case was registered at Koh-i-Fiza Police Station on November 28, 2001 against Salem, his wife Samira Jumani and Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi for having made fake passports from Bhopal's Regional Passport Office in the assumed names of Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively. Monica has been acquitted.
Salem was brought here from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail on November 12, 2007, on a production warrant, and presented in court.
