Kuala Lumpur, Mar 7 (UNI) On a rain affected day, Jyoti Randhawa shot an eleven under to occupy the joint third position after 16 holes at the end of round two of the Maybank Malaysian Open here today.
Randhawa followed up his round one effort of 67 with a six under on day two. The Indian star looked to seize the initiative as he made six birdies and ten pars. His birdies came on the first, fourth, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th.
He trails Malaysia's Danny Chia and Englishman Nick Dougherty who are the current leaders at twelve under 132.
Meanwhile, Arjun Atwal and Gaurav Ghei are placed tied 29th as their total stands at six under 138. While Atwal carded 68, Ghei shot 71.
In the first round, Atwal and Ghei had shot 70 and 67 respectively.
SSP Chowrasia (66, 73) is tied 41st at five under 139.
Jeev Milkha Singh (70, 71), currently below the projected cut of four under, is at tied 70th position with three under 141.
Rahil Gangjee (70, 72) is tied 90th at two under 142. Shiv Kapur (74, 69) is a further stroke behind in tied 99th position.
Amandeep Johl could only play 15 holes on day two. He was one over for the day. He had shot 76 in the first round. Johl is tied 141st at the moment with a total of five over.
