Prince Andrew to visit India from March 9 to 15
Mumbai, Mar 7 (UNI) Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, will visit India from March 9 to 15.
He would visit New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore as part of an India tour as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, supporting UK companies trading internationally and encouraging foreign investment.
Commenting on his visit, he said ''India is fast becoming one of the great powerhouses of the global economy and the UK recognises the importance of maintaining and developing economic links between the two countries''.
In Delhi, the Duke of York would visit some companies and meet Union minister of State for Industry and Commerce Ashwani Kumar. He would also be the Guest of Honour at the Queen's Birthday party, which will be hosted by the British High Commissioner to India, Sir Richard Stagg KCMG.
In Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore he would meet leading industrialists and businessmen and visit some top companies and British investments. He will also view select examples of British innovations at a themed Innovation reception in Mumbai.
