Puducherry, Mar 7 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) today demanded a CBI probe into the assets amassed by Legislators, senior Government officials and political leaders in the Union Territory during the last 20 years.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at the executive committee meeting of the party here yesterday, party Secretary V Perumal told a press conference today.
Demanding the resignation of Health Minister E Valsaraj in the wake of the cases registered against him or his removal from the post if the Minister failed to quit on his own, another resolution observed that the demand of former Minister P Angalan that he be reinstated could not be justified since a case against him was pending before Madras High Court.
