Court permits narcoanalysis test on seven accused
Vijayawada, Mar 7(UNI) Police have decided to conduct narco analysis test on seven people, including three students accused in the sensational case of murder of a B.Pharm student Ayesha Meera, who was raped and done to death on December 27,2007 in a women's hostel at Ibrahimpatnam near here, Associstant Commissioner of Police L Vijayakumar said today.
Addressing a press conference here he said, police were investigating the case expeditiously and there was no delay in the probe.
He said police had collected the hand writings and blood samples from several people whose involvement they suspect, for DNA testing.
They now proposed to put seven others, including the hostel warden Padma, her husband Sivaramakrishna, students at the hostel- Preethi, Kavita and Soumya, and Guruvinder Singh alias 'Laddu'.
The police had filed petitions in the metropolitan magistrate court seeking permission to conduct narcoanalyis test, he said.
He said one of the accused 'laddu' was involved in several cases including dacoitees.
He said the magistrate court has granted permission to take the accused into their custody from march 10 to 15.
He denied reports in a section of the media about the involvement of a doctor who was close relative of the hostel warden.
