Wife kills husband who is police constable
Gangtok, Mar 6 (UNI) A police constable was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, following a domestic scuffle last night at Pakyong, a sub-divisional town in East Sikkim.
Wife Ashamaya Manger has been arrested and is in a hysterical state, police sources said. A case under Section 302 had been registered at the Pakyong police station.
Sources said the argument started when the constable, who was posted at the Pakyong police station, returned last evening after a trip to Kalimpong and did not find his wife at home.
Later after dinner late last night, following a heated argument, Ashmaya, in a fit of rage, allegedly stabbed her husband with a ''kukhri''(a traditional sharp weapon). The constable died on his way to the hospital due to excessive bleeding from his head and abdomen.
He was reported to have been brought dead at Manipal Central referral hospital here in Gangtok.
