London, Mar 6 : To substantiate the rape and murder of her 15 year old daughter Scarlett Keeling, her mother Fiona plans to release the graphic photographs of Scarlett's semi-clad body found two weeks ago on the Anjuna beach.

"I just want the police to admit that a crime has been committed," the Telegraph quoted Fiona, as saying Police in Goa continue to claim that Scarlette drowned in shallow waters.

Fiona believes that detectives overlooked cuts and bruises on her daughter's body as also the absence of water in her lungs.

Earlier this week, Indian Government Ministers Ambika Soni and Renuka Chaudhry said they were "embarrassed" by the controversy surrounding crime and this led the police to reopen their inquiry.

"The (Goa) Government is just trying to drag it out so that we get fed up and go home. Then they'll close the case. My only intention is to make the police to admit that a crime has been committed," said Fiona.

Fiona said that she has tried to meet Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, twice, but both meetings were cancelled.

Vikram Varma, the family's lawyer, said last night that he would be taking legal action to force the police to continue with their inquiries.
