UAE airlines to launch New Delhi service

Dubai, March 5: Air Arabia, UAE's first low cost airline, is to launch services to the Indian capital New Delhi from March 31.

''Following the introduction of our service to Kozhikode last month, we are delighted to further expand our destination network to India by announcing the launch of service to New Delhi,'' Head of commercial department AK Nizar of Air Arabia said. The flights will initially operate four times a week between New Delhi and Air Arabia's hub in Sharjah. The service will be available everyday May onwards. New Delhi is Air Arabia's 11th destination in the subcontinent.

Currently, Air Arabia provides direct services to Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram.

''The capital of India, with a population in excess of 14 million, New Delhi is one of the vital financial centres in the South Asia region,'' he said.

By introducing travel options for those visiting this city, Air Arabia continues to demonstrate its commitment to India, especially on behalf of the significant expatriate population in the UAE and the wider Gulf region.
