Two Punjab rural health centres get tele medicine link
Chandigarh, Mar 5 (uni) The Union Ministry and Science and Technology has approved the tele-linking of Primary Health Centre in Badal village and and Community Health Centre in Machiwara with the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh to provide world class medical and diagnostic facilities to people in the remote rural areas of Punjab.
Disclosing this here today Medical Education and Research Minister Tikshan Sud said that Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) would be tele-linking these two rural health centres with PGIMER. Patients living in these two villages andin the vicinity would be able to get the benefit of specialised medical advice through this tele-link facility.
The Minister said that three more centres in Punjab would be provided tele medicine link with PGIMER in the near future.
