Jaipur, Mar 5 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court today dismissed a PIL against allotment of government land on concessional rates to Deen Dayal Uppadhyaya Trust headed by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
A division bench of the High Court comprising Justice Mrs Gyan Sudha Mishra and Mr RS Chauhan dimissed the petition as "meaningless" after Chief Minister Ms Raje's counsel JM Saxena informed the court that the land allotment had already been cancelled by the Jaipur Development Authority(JDA) and the amount deposited by the Trust had also been refunded to the latter.
Mr Saxena said the allotment cancellation was ordered as the Trust itself had expresed its unwillingness for acceptance of the allotment offer. Some of the conditions of the allotment were not acceeptable to the trust, he clarified.
The PIL was filed by a lawyer Sunil Kumar Sharma against the allotment of around 7690 squarte meter plot in prime Civil Lines area to the Trust by the JDA on a token payment in 2006.
