Islamabad, Mar 5 (UNI) Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has proposed 11 names after consulting the main coalition partner Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the first phase of constituting the cabinet.
The central leadership of PPP has proposed 11 names out of which five were from Punjab, four from Sindh, one from NWFP and one from Balochistan to make federal cabinet, according to a private TV channel report.
Senior leaders, Yousaf Raza Gillani, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Sardar Asif and Raja Pervez Ashraf are among those whose names were proposed for federal cabinet from Punjab.
Khurshid Shah, Naveed Qamar, Raza Rabbani, Sheri Rehman from Sindh, Abdul Al-Akbar from NWFP and Taj Muhammad Jamali from Balochistan were also proposed for federal cabinet.
The PML-N, which emerged as the second biggest party, have agreed on the names, sources said, adding Amin Fahim is the front runner for the premiership while Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Yousaf Raza Gillani are also in race for the top slot.
The final decision in this regard would be taken during the meeting on March 6 here.
