Potter star gets Princes-like protection after death threat
London, Mar 5 (UNI) Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is being given protection similar to that of Princes William and Harry when they are not on military duty, after a death threat from a stalker.
The 18-year-old heartthrob is being protected by four ex-SAS bodyguards after receiving the threat that worried movie bosses.
As a security measure, he switched cars three times in one night during the filming of the seventh and final Potter movie The Deathly Hallows.
His driver for seven years and considered a part of the family was also temporarily removed, the Sun reported.
The nature of the threat, received via Warner Bros, was unclear but led to the protection at all times on set and, to and from shoots.
The insider added, ''There is a real concern for Daniel's welfare. The bigwigs haven't said what has been going on. It's all hush-hush but security has been massively ramped up.'' Daniel has also been given a 'chase car' which follows the vehicle in which he is travelling, in case of emergency.
