Playing for senior Indian cricket team my dream: Tanmay

By Staff

Lucknow, Mar 5 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh lad Tanmay Srivastava, who shot to the limelight after his thrilling performance in the Under-19 Indian Cricket Team World Cup, said he will work harder to enter the senior team.

On March 2, the Under-19 Indian cricket team had won the World Cup title by defeating South Africa in Malasiya.

Tanmay had brought laurels to the state by scoring the higest 46 runs off 74 balls in the final face-off.

The young player said he was devoted to now get an entry into the senior Indian team.

''My only focus is to improve my performances...rest is the destiny,'' Tanmay maintained.

He was given a warm welcome on his home return today.

UP chief minister Mayawati has announced to reward Tanmay and two other players in the Vidhan Sabha.
