Four students injured in bomb explosion
Jayankondam, Mar 5 (UNI) Four students were injured when a bomb like object exploded at Meensurutti, near here, today.
Police said the injured were Tamil Selvan, Elavarasan, Balamurugan and Vijayakumar. All the four were studying in the ninth standard of the Government Higher Secondary School, Meensurutti.
They picked up three objects, which were in the shape of a ball, from a road side dustbin during interval time.
While the children were playing with one of the objects, it went off and caused injuries to all the four.
Police rushed to the spot and admitted them to a nearby Government Hospital here.
Police also seized other unexploded bomb like objects and the pieces of the exploded bomb from the spot.
