Salman too comes in support of Raj
Mumbai, Mar 4 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray continues to receive support from the film industry against the gag order.
After the support of Nana Patekar and Shreyas Talpade, now actor Salman Khan, his father and writer Salim Khan, his brother -producer Sohail Khan and actor Suniel Shetty have also come forward against the ban order on the MNS chief.
MNS spokesman and general secretary Shirish Parkar told UNI that while the signature campaign is running close to one million, many eminent film personalities are coming forward in support of Raj.
Notably, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is known to have very good relation with the film industry and has been instrumental in settling many 'problems' of the film fraternity.
Recently, Amitabh Bachchan had attended the release of an album 'Ummed', the lyrics of which was penned by Mr Thackeray's grandson Aditya.
The Mumbai police had on February 11 slapped orders on Raj Thackeray preventing him from addressing public rallies or press conferences after his comments against north Indians living in Mumbai caused tensions and violence.
It received a legal stamp as a city court subsequently upheld the order.
