President, PM congratulate Team India on CB series victory

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today congratulated Team India on winning the CB series, beating Australia in the triangular cricket tournament at Brisbane.

Hailing the victory as ''fabulous,'' Ms Patil said it was the result of team work and determination.

Dr Singh also expressed similar sentiments.

India and Australia had reached the three-match finals, edging out Sri Lanka in the preliminary rounds when each team played the other thrice. India clinched the series winning the first two matches of the finals, obviating the need for playing the third.
