Mentioning the ordinance issued by the previous SP government to give these castes a SC status, she said people of these castes turned into general category after the Allahabad High Court squashed the ordinance as being unconstitutional '' The past government was never sincere with the commitment and they only damaged these castes as since 2005 these castes were not given the status of Most Backward after the state government's ordinance was squashed by the HC'', she asserted.

The Chief Minister said that her government had withdrawn the controversial ordinance progumulated in 2005 and until these castes were given SC status they would be treated as Most Backward.
