Congress criticises TRS for playing with sentiments of people
Vijayawada, Mar 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal today criticised Telangana Rashtra Samiti(TRS) members for playing with the sentiments of people following their resignations from the Lok Sabha, Assembly and Council.
Talking to newspersons here, he said Congress would not be cowed down by the threats of TRS members, as the party would evolve a ''consensus'' on the issue. The party also appointed a committee headed by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee to solve the problem, he added.
Mr Rajagopal said views of the allies would be taken into consideration before taking a decision on the issue.
He said bifurcation of the states should be made on the basis of second State Reorganisation Committee (SRC) recommendations.
Congress forged an alliance with the TRS in 2004 election only when they agreed for Constitution of second SRC, he added.
