BJP provides financial assistance to victims
Kannur, Mar 4 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) provided financial assistance to 18 victims of political violence in Kannur district of Kerala today.
The fund was collected by the party Central Committee.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP state unit President P K Krishnadas said the party had lost 67 activists in political violence during the last 40 years. More than 100 persons were disabled during the period.
He alleged that the Marxist party had begun 'Nandigram model violence' in the Kannur district years ago. Political clashes could be brought under control only if the CPI(M) stopped violence and respect the fundamental rights of activists of other political parties.
