World cup winner U-19 team to be honoured by BCCI president

Rajkot, Mar 3 (UNI) The World Cup winner India Under-19 Team will be honoured by Board of Control in Cricket India (BCCI) President Sharad Pawar at a function to be held at Chennai on 25th March along with Team India Captain Anil Kumble.

The Under-19 Team which won the ICC world Cup by beating the South Africa in a thriller by 12 runs yesterday at Kuala Lumpur, will arrive in Bangalore tomorrow, said BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah in a press release here today.

The team is arriving in a special Kingfisher flight from Kuala Lumpur, the release said.

The team will be received by senior BCCI officials including the President Sharad Pawar and officials of KSCA at the airport and they will travel in a open bus to the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The reception is being organised by KSCA on behalf of the BCCI.
