Silao, Mar 03, 2007 : 'Khajas', or crispy croissants dipped in sugar syrup made in traditional style in India's northern Silao in Bihar state is proving very popular and is also generating employment in the region.

The specialty of Khajas from Silao is that that they are dry and crisp from outside and full of sugar syrup inside. No wonder then that this melt-in-the-mouth sweet was declared as the 'King of Sweets" at Sagar Mahotsav in Mauritius.
