New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) There seems to be no relief in sight for National Capital even though the maximum temperature was nearly 2 degrees Celsius below than the one recorded on Saturday and Sunday.

The Met office recorded the maximum temperature at 32.1 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature over the weekend was recorded at 33.9 degrees Celsius.

With sun playing hide and seek during the day, it helped in bringing down the temperature. The minimum temperature was recorded at 16.8 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal.

The weatherman said sunny days in the next 48 hours would give no respite from the prevailing hot weather.

The warmth in the air is likely to persist over the next few days with the weatherman forecasting continuance of a rising trend in minimum and maximum temperature over northwest India in the next three days.
