London, Mar 3 : British royal Prince Harry will soon be getting a promotion and a pay rise worth 11 pounds a day.
The 23-year-old, who is known as Second Lieutenant Wales, will complete two years' service in the Army next month and will automatically be promoted to full lieutenant.
And along with his promotion, the royal will also be getting a rise in pay - to the tune of 11 pounds a day when his salary jumps from 20,173pounds to 24,247 pounds, reports The Sun.
His promotion means that Harry will not only wear an extra pip on his shoulders, but that he could also demand that older brother William salute him when the two meet up in uniform, as he would be senior to William.
The Prince has recently returned early from Afghanistan where he had been fighting the Taliban.
His role included calling in air strikes, carrying out surveillance of Taliban fighters, giving final clearance for attacks on Taliban targets and also guiding in some bombing runs.
He is due to be promoted on April 16.
