Northern Railway to run 400 spl trains to clear Summer rush

New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) In order to clear extra rush of passengers during the Summer season, the Northern Railways plan to run 400 Summer Special trains and increase passenger carrying capacity of some popular trains by augmenting additional coaches.

Among the Summer specials to be run by the Northern Railway are 0403A/0404A New Delhi-Jammu Tawi AC Suprfast special to tun daily from March 15 to April 1 except Friday from New Delhi and Saturday from Jammu Tawi, 0403/0404 Delhi - Udhampur Express Special train to run from April 1 to June 30 from Delhi and from April 2 to July 1 from Udhampur, 0413/0414 Varanasi-Jammu Tawi superfast special train (daily) from April 1 to June 30 from Varanasi and from April 2 to July 1 from Jammu Tawi, a Northern Railway release said.

Also to be run during these season will be 2230A/2229A New Delhi-Lucknow superfast special train from April 1 to June 30 from Lucknow and from April 2 to July 1 from New Delhi, 2017A/2018A Hazrat Nizamuddin-Dehradun AC Special train from April 1 to june 30 from Hazrat Nizamuddin and from April 2 to July 1 from Dehradun and 0424/0423 Delhi Sarai Rohila-Darbahanga Express special train from April 1 to June 29 from Delhi Sarai Rohilla and from April 2 to June 30 from Darbahanga.

Besides running the above trains, the Northern railway plans to augment the capacity of the 4163/4164 Allahabad-Meerut City, Sangam Express train by one additional second class sleeper coach from May 1 to July 13 from Allahabad and from May 2 to July 14 from Meerut City.

The 4113/4114 Allahabad-Dehradun, Link Express train will be augmented by one additional second class sleeper coach from May 1 to July 13 from Allahabad and from May 3 to July 15 from Dehradun.
