Bangalore, Mar 03: Regionalism seems to be on everyone's mind. Raj Thackeray fought for the rights of 'Marathi Manoos' in Maharashtra, with no provocation at all. But, here in Bangalore... the capital of Karnataka, Kannadigas are being verbally abused in their own homeland. What an irony!

On Monday, a foreigner working in an IT compnay 'Sasken' was reported abusing Kannadigas and their culture. Lee was supposed to have written a poem degrading Kannadigas and calling them fools. It was supposed to be sung in a tone by all employees and Lee referred to it as the 'State Anthem'. Reacting to such atrocity, the local Kannada Sangha ransacked Sasken Airport Road office and destoyed about 50 computers. They demanded for immediate deportation of Lee and for a stricter action on all employees concerned with this act.

“Living in Bangalore, if Corporates abuse Karnataka, we will not allow them to base their companies here", threatens senior Kannada Sangha leader. They threatened to close down all operations of Sasken in Bangalore and Belagavi. “We will protest tomorrow (Mar 04} in front of the State IT Secretary office".
