Centre's affidavit on Ram Setu a war against Hindus:Togadia
Bhubaneswar, Mar 03 (UNI) VHP International General Secretary Pravin Bhai Togadia today described the affidavit filed by the Centre on the Ram Setu as an 'open war' against the 85 crore Hindus in the country.
Addressing newspersons here, Mr Togadia said the VHP will never allow any government to demolish the Ram Setu and warned that nobody could come to power by demolishing it.
The VHP leader said there would be a nationwide protest and demonstrations in each district across the country on March four against the proposed demolition of Ram Setu.
Criticising the UPA government for adopting a 'double standard' on the issue, Mr Togadia said the Union Culture Ministry was the respondent in the case before the Supreme Court but the affidavit was filed by the Shipping and Transport Ministry which was not a party.
Stating that the Ram Setu was a sentimental issue with the Hindus, the VHP leader cautioned that it would give a befitting reply to any government which dared to demolish the Setu ignoring concern of the Hindus.
