New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) Riding on a devastating spell from Vishal Bhatia, Himachal thrased Jammu and Kashmir by 104-runs to win a bonus point in their Ranji Trophy One-Day (North Zone) played at the Harbax Singh stadium here today.
After being put into bat, Himachal lost their both openers cheaply with only 16 runs on the board.
However, a well crafted 77-runs of 117 balls by Paras Dogra and his useful partnerships with Kuldeep Diwan and Sarandeep Singh for the seventh and eigth wickets respectively helped Himachal reach a respectable total of 212 in their allotted 50 overs. Sami-ul-lah Beigh claimed three wickets while Sameer Ali and Vijay Sharma got two wickets each for J and K.
In reply, a fiery spell from Vishal Bhatia for Himachal who claimed six wickets made the task impossible for J&K.
Their batsmen performed poorly with the highest score coming from opener Obiad Ahmed who scored only 26-runs with the help of five boundaries.
