Rajkot, Mar 3 (UNI) The World Cup winning Under-19 Indian team will be honoured by the Board of Control in Cricket India (BCCI) President Sharad Pawar at a function at Chennai on March 25 along with senior Indian Test team Captain Anil Kumble.
The Under-19 team, which won the ICC World Cup after beating South Africa in a thriller by 12 runs yesterday at Kuala Lampur, will arrive in Bangalore tomorrow, BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a release here today.
The team is arriving in a special Kingfisher Flight from Kuala Lampur, the release added.
The team will be received by senior BCCI officials including Mr Pawar and officials of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) at the airport and they will travel in a open bus to the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The reception is being organised by KSCA on behalf of BCCI, the release added.
