London, Mar 2 : Sir Paul McCartney's photographer pal Paul Caffell has been convicted at Gloucester crown court of taking indecent pictures of a 15-year-old girl.
The 68-year-old snapper, who worked with the former Beatle's late wife Linda, was also found guilty of possessing 981 explicit pictures of the girl taken at his Stroud studio.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 9, when a retrial may be sought on two sexual assault counts on which the jury did not agree.
Caffell was put on the sex register.
In a recent hearing, Caffell told the jury that he waited until a model was 16 before taking explicit photos of her.
In one hearing, prosecutor Peter Blair told the court that the photographer paid 20 pounds to a 15-year-old girl to pose naked, before blindfolding and having sex with her.
However, Caffell insisted he said to the girl when she was 15 that she was too young to pose naked.
