Delhi Police work out two murder cases within 24 hrs

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) The Delhi Police today claimed to have worked out two cases of murder within 24 hours after the crimes took place.

Dilshad (25) was knifed to death on February 28 in Kabootar Market at Pili Mitti, Janta market, under the Welcome Police Station area. The victim's sister Heena told the police after she had witnessed the incident.

A team headed by Inspector S B S Yadav, who is also SHO Welcome Police Station, arrested accused Mainuddin (21), Nadeem (21) and Sahid, the same day in connection with the case.

Two knives used in the crime were also recovered by the police.

In another incident, a police team, headed by Gokul Puri ACP R P Gautam, arrested Sanauj (25) and Sarvesh (22), in connection with the murder of one Nilesh Pal, alias Tilu.

Nilesh, a resident of Khajuri Khas, was allegedly murdered by the two accused on the intervening night of February 27-28, the police said.

They said according to Sarvesh, Nilesh had an illicit relationship with the former's wife. So he had hired his friend Sanauj for Rs 20,000 to eliminate Nilesh.

On the intervening night of February 27-28, both the accused took the deceased to Sonia Vihar Pushta Road at Karawal Nagar, where Sarvesh slit the throat of Nilesh, the police added.
