Bangalore, Mar 2 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge today questioned the genuineness of the preparation process of electoral list in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the State Election Office was preparing the list in a hurry to please the Central Election Commission (CEC).
He said the party would complain to CEC during his visit to the city on March 4.
Mr Kharge urged the election officials to conduct door-to-door inspection to carry out verification of the voters list.
The CEC had asked the State Election Office to prepare a fresh list of voters following complaint of bogus voters in the electoral list.
He accused both JD(S) and BJP of creating such voters' list during their coalition rule in the state.
''It would be a big injustice to the party if the CEC went ahead for conducting Assembly polls without carrying out a fresh review of the list,''he added.
He welcomed the Union budget and said it had many welfare programmes for the farmers and middle class people.
