Kohima, Mar 02: At least ten persons were injured and seven vehicles damaged in Dimapur-III Assembly constituency, when Congress supporters attacked RJD supporters at Kushiabil area of the constituency.
RJD candidate from Dimapur-III constituency Inazhe Sema alleged that the incident, which occurred yesterday, was not a spontaneous case of clash between supporters, but a well planned and premeditated attack.
The agitators set ablaze some of the vehicles and damaged the rest of them.
In a separate incident in Wokha, Nagaland Armed Police (NAP) personnel allegedly went on a rampage yesterday over non-issuance of postal ballot papers.
Official sources said the NAP personnel ransacked the office of the Deputy Commissioner and official residence of the Superintendent of Police as they were not provided postal ballots.
