Jamshedpur, Mar 1(UNI) The Jharkhand Disom Students Union (JDSU) and Jharkhand Disom Yuva Samity (JDYS), the students' and the youth wing of Jharkhand Disom Party(JDP), today began fast unto death to protest the reservation for a lone tribal seat out of 254 vacancies in the recruitment in the police department in East Singhbhum district.

JDP founder chairman Salkhan Murmu said his party had vowed to unmask all the anti-tribal forces and held the Chief Minister, Governor and the tribal leaders responsible for their inaction against the discrimination and injustice done to the adivaisis in the recruitment process in the police force.

Mr Murmu also termed the UPA and the NDA '' Anti-moolvasi and adivasi'' as both the alliances ruled the state but kept pending the domicile and the reservation issues.

Both the NDA and the UPA are equally responsible for the plight of the tribals in Jharkhand, Mr Murmu said.

He said the JDP would also gherao the Raj Bhawan in Ranchi on March 11 against the injustice to adivasis in police recruitment issue in which the JDP activists from adjoining Orissa, West Bengal, Chhatisgarh, Assam and Andaman-Nicobar would take part.

JDP had already extended its support to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) suprmeo Raj Thackery on domicile (local) issue and decided to invite Mr Thackery at first 'Ulgoolan rally' of the JDP, to be held here on June 30.

Mr Ghanshyam Tudu, president JDYS, Kolhan region, Bhaya Murmu, state general secretary, JDSU and three others local leaders of both the organizations sat on fast unto death agitation at Sakchi here.
