Bangalore, Mar 1 (UNI) Bhambri sisters -- Ankita and Sanaa were ousted in the first round of the qualifying matches in the 600,000 Dollar WTA Tier II Bangalore Open tennis tournament played at KSLTA stadium here today.
While Woerle Kathrin of Germany strolled past Ankita Bhambri 6-2, 6-1, Adamczak Monique of Austria downed a spirited Saana Bhambri 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-1.
Sanaa, after conceded the first rather set tamely, rallied back well and levelled the scores by winning the second set via tie breaker. However she ran out of steam against the well built Australian in the decider.
