Ahmednagar, Feb 29 (UNI) The Goa government has set up a special committee of education experts to make a report on suitable recommendations for improving the education system in the state, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said today.
Mr Kamat was speaking in a press conference in Kopargaon here.
The education system will be changed as per the recommendations, he said.
In order to take care of the health of Goa's 18 lakh population, a committee of health experts has been set up. The committee's recommendations will be presented to the state government before March 31. Depending on the recommendations a, plan of action will be made to provide health services to the people of Goa.
Around 28 lakh national and international tourists come to Goa every year.
In Goa, 80 lakh educated unemployed youth are there. ''We are going to provide employment to them in tourism sector'', he said.
''Goa hosts largest number of tourists in the world. Central Tourism Ministry should prepare some new plan as every year 822 Chartered flights come to Goa. In this regard he will soon be meeting Union Tourism Minister Ambika Soni,'' he said.
''Marathi is Goa's official language and there is no issue of Marathi and non-Marathi speaking people in the state,'' he added.
